Hi everyone. I thought that I would go ahead and post our first blog post. I am extremely excited about this upcoming trip. Tyler and I have been talking about this trip for the last, lets say, four months now, and really do appreciate the support from family and friends. Thank you.
We are now in NJ with my girlfriend Chelsea. She is about to drive out to Washington state in order to fulfill a NOLS course in the Pacific Northwest. Luckily she is doing the favor of dropping Tyler and I off in MN. Once there we will pick up the canoe, register it, and set off in Lake Itasca, the headwaters for the Mississippi River. If all goes to plan the trip will start on Thursday 8/12. This is our plan.
The blog will be updated as much as possible (from libraries), we will have our phones with us (usually off), and have supplied a list of post offices (which we hope will hold our mail). Feel free to contact us any way you think possible.
